Michelle Beamon


Michelle Beamon,   was born in Charleston, SC and raised in the city of Sumter, SC. She grew up in a Christian home where she was taught to see the best in all people. Michelle graduated from Sumter High School in June 2000. Following graduation she attended Francis Marion University, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Sociology in 2004.
In January 2007 Michelle married her husband Lawrence Beamon, who is a native of Montgomery, AL, and they have one daughter Aisha. Their marriage has brought forth the opportunity to be a part of the military community. In June of 2018, their union brought her family to Montgomery, AL after her husband retired from 20 years of military service.
It was during her college years that Michelle got her first job working for Thelma Brown Head Start. Doing the afterschool program there helped her realize her dream of working with children. In July of 2016 Michelle got her teacher certification and began teaching Kindergarten and eventually 3rd grade at Cedar Grove Elementary School in Panama City, FL.  After moving to Montgomery, AL she began a new journey teaching in the early grades at Success Unlimited Academy.
Michelle is an active member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church. She is an advisor for the Youth Department and sings on the choir and Praise and Worship team. Recently she joined Women In Touch to be an influence in the community. Michelle is inspired to reach out to those who are in need.
