Marilyn Taylor


Marilyn R. Taylor,   was born in the small town of Fort Deposit―located in Lowndes County.  She grew up in a large family with both parents, including six brothers and two sisters.  She graduated from Lowndes County High School in 1983.  And, in 1989, she graduated from Alabama State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS).

She has worked in state government for a total of 20 plus years, including:  The Governor’s Office, Lieutenant Governor’s Office and the Alabama Senate.  She also worked with the Alabama Education Association.

She joined Women in Touch (WIT) in July 2017 because she wanted to give back to the community, helping children and the elderly.

Her hobbies include: reading, traveling, researching and meeting people.  She’s a member of New Life Church of God in Christ, member of Jr. League of Montgomery, Girl Scouts of Montgomery volunteer, KEEP Productions volunteer, and offer support to other non-profit community service programs when needed.

Currently lives in Montgomery; single with no children; however, she has several nieces and nephews to keep her happy, busy and content.
Favorite bible verse:  Isaiah 26:3 – "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee".
